Magnificent views along the Gorges Du Verdon

On the way to and from Moustiers we rode along the left and right river bank of the Verdon. With it’s cliffs of sometimes 700m it is sometimes considered the “Grand Canyon of the Verdon”. But beware: if you get carsick easily, do take your motion sickness pills because the road has a lot of turns.

At the end of the trip, we were treated with magnificent views of the “Lac Sainte-Croix”, a huge man-made lake to produce electricity. It is mainly fed by the Verdon after it’s trip through the canyon starting in Castellane (Lac du Castillon).
