Sagrada Familia

The first stone of the Sagrada Familia was laid in 1882. Quite quickly there were disputes between the first architect and the promotors and in 1883 Gaudi took over. When Gaudi died in 1926 by an unfortunate accident with a tram, only 1 tower was finished. His body is buried in the crypt between the main Church of Sagrada Familia.

On today, 4th August 2018, almost 70% of the Basilica is finished and it is estimated that it would be finished in 2026. Maybe see you then?
